Photoshop x64 startet nicht - festplatte partitioniert

Ja, das Betriebssystem ist wichtig.

Falls es Windows ist:

Ich habe eine SSD als Laufwerk C und speichere lediglich alle Benutzerdaten auf D, was ich recht praktisch finde, das PS von SSD schön schnell startet und das System so deutlich schneller reagiert.

Generell nutze ich hierfür folgenden Weg:

Create a folder on the "C" drive called "this_is_c" and create a folder on the "D" drive called "this_is_d" - this is only for identification purposes in later steps.
Boot from the Windows 8 Pro disk. (That is, don't boot from hard drive.)
Do not choose "Install Now" - instead choose "Repair you computer"
Then choose Troubleshoot
Then choose Advanced Options
Then choose Command Prompt
The drive that shows up is the "X" drive - which is the recovery disk.
Type "C:" to switch to the "C" drive.
Type "Dir" and see if you see the folder "this_is_c"
If you don't, keep changing letters until you see that folder.
It worked out that the "C" drive during this "repair" happened to be the same as my "C" drive when I boot normally.
Find drive "D" by going through the same process - that is, try to find the folder "this_is_d"

Type this command: xcopy /e /k /o /h /b c:\Users d:\Users see next bullet
The first drive name should be the drive name that the "repair" assigned to your normal boot "C" drive. The second drive should be lettered just as it would be during a normal boot. So, in my case these conditions were the same. Note: use a capital "U" for Users rather than lower case "u" in users.
Type "D" when prompted.
Type in the following command: rd /s c:\Users
Type in this command: mklink /d c:\Users d:\Users
Type in this command: Exit
Continue to boot.

Wenn Du Photoshop tatsächlich auf D installieren möchtest, dann kannst Du nicht einfach die Dateien auf D verschieben, weil das zu Problemen führt, die auf der Registry beruhen, wie Heike treffend schildert.

Am einfachsten wäre es in dem Fall Photoshop zu löschen (vorher alle personalisierten Informationen sichern) und anschließend auf D zu installieren.
Denn glaube mir: Die Registry möchtest Du nicht von Hand anpassen...
